The X-100 Eichler's steel frame X-100 was built as an experiment in modern design and was used to promote sales. Only two were ever built in the 1950's and we are proud to have it on our tour for Friday April 24 ONLY. If you would like to see it you must purchase a Friday ticket. Raffle Grand Prize - Private Tour of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Sidney Bazett HouseThis year’s raffle offers the winner and a guest a unique opportunity for a private tour of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Sidney Bazett House. Residing in this light-filled home, Joseph Eichler was inspired to become a builder of affordable housing which envisioned a similar view of modern living. The Bazett House tour will take the winner through the living areas, select bedrooms and bathrooms, grounds and pool area, accompanied by the Home Tour Liaison and the current owner. The current owner, who grew up in the house as a child, will be able to offer a rare, personal account of the history of the house, former residents and architecture. Details. Segway Personal TransportersSegway transporters will be available for demo at the Trade Show. Eichler Home Tour and Trade Show - Green InnovationsHighlands School is proud to present the second bi-annual Highlands Eichler Home Tour. Our tour this year falls on Earth Day, April 24th and 25th, and in keeping with this relevant theme, we are focusing on green remodeling. This year, in addition to having 10 homes to tour, we will be offering the Green Innovations trade show at the primary check in site. This trade show will allow you to browse the latest and greatest on how to remodel or update your home in a way that is good for the planet and for your pocketbook. There will be a wide array of various green remodeling specialized vendors here to help you in everything from lighting to solar, and so much more. The festivities surrounding the check-in and tradeshow will also feature ‘Art in the Park’, where local modern artists will be exhibiting and selling their unique works from 9am to noon. There will also be coffee and pastries available for purchase on site for guests to enjoy a breakfast treat. As we get closer to April, we will be announcing some of the specific attractions and highlights you will find on the tour. Stay tuned for updates, and see you in April. |
